About

Why New Creations?

Our name ‘New Creations’ comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17 and is in honor of our Founder & Executive Artistic Director’s father, whose handwriting is featured in our logo. So here is the meaning in her own words:
“I grew up with my dad being my pastor and one of my biggest supporters in my dance journey. He and I would discuss my dream of having my own Christian-based studio and how God could use it for his glory. Unfortunately, my dad passed away before the dream could become a reality. But one of my most prized possessions is a study bible he gave to me on my 18th birthday and the message he wrote inside where he referenced his favorite verse: 2nd Corinthians 5:17.
So when it came time to name the studio, God placed the name of ‘New Creations’ on my heart to honor my beloved dad and to share the love and saving message of Christ with all who enter the studio.”

MISSION

To glorify God and provide quality ballet and dance instruction for all ages

Vision

We wish to become a vital member of the local fine arts community by providing non-competitive ballet and dance instruction in a variety of genres for the entire family while maintaining our competitive cost position and Christian culture.

We trust God to bring opportunities and resources that through faithful stewardship will allow us to expand our reach and impact to the community both now and in future generations.

Teaching philosophy

The NCDC Teaching Philosophy is centered around three core ideas:

Christian Culture

We emulate Christ in our care for the student and a desire to build them up as a dancer and an individual and pay close attention to the music we use, conversations we have, and culture we create

Class Sizes & Periods

We limit class sizes and extend class periods to provide more individualized and focused instruction and to allow ample time for proper warm-up and detailed instruction while engaging the student socially.

Creativity

We want to contribute to the creative style for each of our dancers and do this through our tiered color dress code as well as the music and choreography for classes and recitals.
