The Danville Studio

God Is Opening Doors for NCDC!

From just having a name and a logo in January 2023 to our launch this past August with the fantastic group of families that the Lord brought together, we have seen tremendous growth and opportunities that we could barely dream of just over a year ago.

Over the last few months the Lord has opened a door that we have been praying for since the beginning, a permanent place to call our own that will allow us to expand to full operation and expand our reach and impact to the community with the love of Christ through dance.

The 1000+ sq ft. space in the old Rader Fabrics Building is located in Downtown Danville just a block off the square which in and of itself provides us with a ton of exposure with all the events that occur.

However this space comes in at a rent that is about 40% cheaper than comparable spaces in other towns and the landlord has been gracious in his terms and has agreed to customize the infrastructure of the space to maximize the utility of the space for our purposes.

By moving into this space we can now expand our operations from 7 classes on a single day to 20+ classes over 4 days as well as add Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop to our offerings in addition to expanding our Ballet Program and offering special dance events to the community.

This is truly a beautiful space with near limitless potential for NCDC to grow.

However this adventure comes with upfront challenges.

The prior tenant operated a doggy daycare and the new owner is doing a full demolition and rebuild starting May 20th and it is our responsibility to finish the buildout for our specialized needs prior to starting classes up in September.

With this in mind we have launched a one time fundraiser we are calling ‘A Mighty Oak: Building A Permanent Home in Danville’. This Fundraising effort is designed to allow us to cover the cost of finishing off the construction needs for the full dance studio without incurring any personal or corporate debt.

The estimated breakdown is shown below:

– Sprung Flooring (Improves Technique and Reduces Injury): $7,000 + Install
– Office Equipment (Chairs/Sound/Desk): $2,500
– Wall of Mirrors Mounted (6ft x 24ft): $1,500
– Wall Mounted Double Ballet Barres (22 ft): $1,000
Due to the size of the undertaking we want to recognize people and organizations that make this endeavor possible beyond the small dine-to-donate events we have planned.

As such anyone who makes a donation of greater than $50 will receive permanent recognition in the waiting area/hallway for as long as we remain in the space based on the tiers below:

Oak: $500 Donation
Sapling: $250 Donation
Sprout: $100 Donation
Acorn: $50 Donation

You can join this fundraising endeavor in the following methods:

We thank God for how he has brought people and resources together to this point and are trusting him to do it again!
