Hadassah Burk
Executive Artistic Director

Ms. Hadassah, originally from Michigan City, Indiana has been dancing for over 20 years and is trained in Vaganova Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Character, and Jazz.

Her extensive training includes studios such as Southold Dance Theater (South Bend), Works in Motion Dance Company (Laporte, Indiana), Ballet Chicago, Ruth Paige Foundation, Boitsov Classical ballet (Chicago), and summer intensives with the Grand Rapids Ballet and Ballet Magnificat.

Hadassah began her teaching career at the age of 16 under Lyndsay Gogel and Ashley Stout at Works in Motion Dance Company and received her teaching certification from Dance and Gym USA and most recently served as the Director of Pointe at The Children’s Ballet in Danville, Indiana.

Throughout her professional career Hadassah has taken various classes led by dancers such as Travis and Denise Wall, Ray Leeper, Mark Meismer and Kim McSwain among others. She also participated in master classes led by cast members of the touring Broadway productions of Beauty and the Beast, Wicked and Chicago and was chosen as the ‘Broadway Bound’ student by the Beauty and the Beast and Wicked cast members.

Outside of dance Hadassah has been married to her husband Elijah for 6+ years and they have three beautiful daughters: Amariah, Adelaide, and Selah. As family they enjoy participating in church activities, consuming copious amounts of coffee, and anything Disney related.

Hadassah’s hope for NCDC is that it can become known as a quality ballet and dance school in the area where the culture and teaching philosophy rooted in Christian values and principles not only draws people in but develops the art and love for dance in our students and positively contributing to their mental, emotional, and physical health while spreading the love of Christ and dance throughout the community.

Sarah Weddle
Senior Dance Instructor

Miss Sarah has been dancing since the age of 3, having begun her training in The Master’s Study and finishing her high school training and dance career with The Children’s Ballet (Danville, IN). During her training she studied Pointe, Ballet, Modern and Character under the instruction of Donna Matelli, Deni Jacks, Heidi Eads-Jones, Robyn Wenrich, Melanie Schreiber, and Mandy Mulligan.

Miss Sarah has also been professionally trained in beginner ballroom including Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, Salsa, Waltz, Tango, and Foxtrot. 

Miss Sarah says her love for teaching stems from the interactions with her previous instructors and their focus on instilling their love of dance in her. She is excited to share her joy and hopes to instill this love in her students and see the joy and excitement grow as they develop their skill.

Rachel Schwab
Dance Instructor

Ms. Rachel began dancing at the age of 3 and has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Tap in competitive and non competitive environments.

She has previously taught dance for six years with students of all ages and genres at Premier Academy in Avon, Indiana and has attended several dance convention master classes including the Dance Teacher Web Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rachel is very passionate about dance and creating choreography. She enjoys sharing this passion for dance with her students and seeing them have a great time in class while gaining confidence in themselves and realizing their own talents and passions and is looking forward to all the love, laughter, and dancing that is to come.

Brianna Glenn
Dance Instructor

Ms. Brianna has been involved in gymnastics and dance for the past 17 years including being involved in the Avon High School and Indiana State University hip hop dance teams.

Ms. Brianna lives in Danville with her husband and two young sons and does professional photography on the side.

When not dancing or taking photos you can often find her at the local coffee shop planning for her dream of owning a self-sustaining homestead with horses aplenty.

Julie Carter
Dance Instructor

Ms. Julie received her formal training throughout her middle school and high school years in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, and Modern at Dance Legacy in Clermont, Indiana where she sat under Mimi Priest, a phenomenal teacher who danced professionally with The Louisville Ballet.

Following this, Julie continued her dance career at Ball State University where she earned her degree in Creative Arts Therapy with an emphasis on Fine Art and Movement. This diversified education provided opportunities for teaching several pedagogy classes in school, choreographing for collegiate level performances, participating in a dance showcase in New York, and leading a program for kids with disabilities called the PRISM Project. Julie danced a total of ten years before going to East Asia with a NFP Organization to share the Gospel with College Students. 

Ms. Julie and her husband now live in Danville with their two delightful and lively little girls. In the Lord’s faithfulness over her story, Julie is excited to work with the students at NCDC to help them grow in dance and remember that they are valuably made in the image of God.

Olivia Abbott
assistant instructor

Ms. Olivia has been dancing for 9 years with her prior training coming from The Children’s Ballet.

Outside of ballet Olivia enjoys photography and spending time with her sister at the barn.

Macie Dunn
Assistant instructor

Ms. Macie has been dancing for ten years through the Children’s Ballet
and New Creations Dance Company and has been trained in Classical Ballet and Pointe and has taken some modern and jazz classes. 

Outside of dance classes, Macie enjoys participating in show choir with Avon High School and doing musical theater. Macie also enjoys reading, singing, and costume designing in her free time. 

Macie is also actively involved in her church where she serves by
teaching young children crafts at Vacation Bible School and taking care
of preschoolers during Sunday Worship.

Piper Heller
Assistant Instructor

Ms. Piper has more than 10 years of ballet training with more than 4+ years on Pointe between The Children’s Ballet & New Creations Dance Company.

Piper is currently a homeschooled sophomore and enjoys her youth group at church, playing piano, and teaching little ones in ballet and sunday school.
Outside of dance and her jobs, Piper enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
